A man was shot to death early this morning during a violent hold-up at his southwest Houston home, authorities said.
Clarence Vick, 61, was watering the lawn at his home in the 3800 block of Westhampton about 3 a.m. Monday when two men walked up to him and robbed him, Houston police said.
The robbers opened fire, striking Vick at least once. He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

I don't know about you, but when I'm in my yard, I'm armed. This may surprise some people, but as indicated above, no-where is safe. As the old CHL saying goes "If you knew where trouble was going to be, you wouldn't need to carry, you just wouldn't go there."
