The Supreme Court has ruled that the 2nd amendment applies to individual citizens. But how does that affect you? How does it affect the lives of your and your children? Who is packing a pistol? Should you be carrying one too? What you should know before you step out your front door.
If you are anti-guns, or afraid of guns, or just don't like them and don't want them in your house, then this blog is for you.

RECENT RESEARCH INDICATES THAT GUNS ARE USED DEFENSIVELY 2.5 MILLION TIMES PER YEAR.
It's not surprising then, that more women than ever want to keep their rights to own and carry a gun.
The reason is simple: Women are concerned about becoming victims of crime. Guns give women a fighting chance against crime.
The new survey, conducted by random telephone sampling of 4,978 households in all the states except Alaska and Hawaii, yield results indicating that American civilians use their firearms as often as 2.5 million times every year defending against a confrontation with a criminal, and that handguns alone account for up to 1.9 million defenses per year. (And that excludes all police, security guards, and military personnel)
Seventy-two percent took place in or near the home, where the gun wouldn't have to be "carried" in a legal sense.
Approximately a half million times a year somebody carrying a gun away from home uses it to defend himself or herself.
