Debunking a gun-grabber:

Gun Control: A Long Over Due Argument Still Unresolved
by Robert Waddell

http://mylatinovoice.com/politics-and-us/25-lo-que-es/2897-gun-control-a-long-over-due-argument-still-unresolved.html

For all the gun enthusiasts who get the Second Amendment wrong by ignoring “a well regulated militia…” portion of the amendment thinking that all Americans have the right to bear arms...

Not true. The Supreme Court of the US has already ruled that the Second Amendment applies directly to individuals right to own And bear arms.

And guns continue to proliferate in our society killing us like a cancer or just killing us.

Guns don't kill. Nor do bullets. People kill. The weapon is just the instrument of the action. Laws outlaw actions, not objects. We don't blame a murder on the weapon when the killer used a baseball bat, or a shovel, or ran them over with a car. Why would we do so with guns? To do so would be folly.

The framers of the Constitution never intended that Americans arm themselves to the teeth.

Not true. Our forefathers were actually very vocal and adamant that every able bodied man be armed. They were very specific in saying that this was not just desirable but a necessary for the protection of their own families, the protection of the nation, and for the protections against the nation should the government become corrupt and tyrannical.

until someone over zealously exerted his Second Amendment rights, shots rang out and six people were killed in cold blood.

Not true. The Second Amendment does not grant the right to commit murder. The killer was not exercising a right to carry for defense of self, but was rather committing an act that is already criminal under both federal and local law.

Vehemently up holding the right to bear arms, without thought, rhyme or reason kills Democracy every time someone steps up to defend this particular right.

No, actually, that is the people's votes at work. Sticking to our God-given rights and voting down any measure to squash them. Read the constitution again, you'll see that these rights are not granted by the constitution, but rather accepted as granted by God and simply being alive, and are thereby RECOGNISED by the government. Therefore they can not take away nor infringe upon a right that they didn't grant in the first place. It is a right, not a privilege.

Isn't it the right of the people to be safe from harm? The country, state-by-state, must pass stricter and enforceable gun control laws before the next national tragedy happens again.

No, actually, there is no right to "be safe from harm". Nor is it reasonable to think so. But we DO have the right to protect ourselves from harm. In fact, the Supreme Court of the US has rules that the police do not have the responsibility or obligation to protect us. The world is a dangerous place, and you have to be able to protect yourself.

In short, Mr Waddell offers no facts, no truths, no verifiable statistics, only unfounded emotional rants.
The only purpose for illogical emotional rants like what Robert Waddell posted is to further Holophobia.
